Synopsis
Set in the small village of Saint-Germain-de-Calberte, in the heart of the Cévennes mountains, the story follows four teenagers aged 14 to 17 confronting the slow death of their community. Léa, a farmer's daughter, dreams of organic agriculture; Thomas, son of the last shopkeeper, refuses to leave; Mathieu, passionate about computers, sees digital technology as a solution; and Chloé, a local artist, believes in the power of culture. Together, they launch an ambitious weekly farmers' market to revive the village economy. But the road to success proves full of obstacles: resistance from the elders, unfair competition from big-box stores, financial difficulties, and personal conflicts threaten their project. Through the seasons, they learn that rebuilding a community requires far more than good intentions. They must negotiate with a skeptical mayor, convince isolated local producers, manage their own doubts and rivalries, all while navigating the realities of young entrepreneurship. The market gradually becomes a symbol of hope, attracting curious visitors and new residents. It's a story of youthful emancipation where each character discovers their own path while contributing to their village's.
